The SWORD Defense System’s Patented  Multi-Mission Air Delivery System address the problems surrounding the traditional tandem container, which is a critical component to the Air Delivery Mission-set. All efforts and innovation in this space have traditionally been spent on what attached skyward (or “North”) of the load connection point, which is primarily the rigging and Parachute system. 

When designing the system, our approach was a multifaceted coordination effort to exceed the requirements of Special Operations end-users, allowing us to address a myriad of problem statements, such as; decreasing the bundle build and packing time, allowing for “on the plane” loading over the objective; making the container water-tight; protecting the payload during the impact phase if delivery; creating a system that can be deployed in all of the required airdrop configurations; decreasing exit and opening shock to prevent injury to the jumper and/or system; and providing a safe, intuitive system that packs and performs consistently from exit to impact.
